All good things come to an end - like our VCMP this weekend. I wanted to make a card for every challenge and here are my entries for the last two challenges:
Sharon's White on white challenge:
I embossed the background and cut an image from the Ornamental Iron cartridge on my Cricut (first time I've used this cart!) The sentiment is from Simon Says stamps and I layered butterflies on top, along with a piece of ribbon behind the sentiment. I thought this was going to be hard, but it came together easily for me.
Our last challenge (boo hoo) is from Kaylee: Glitz and Glam but not Glitter. One way to put on the glitz is from reflective paper and I sure do have tons. I stamped & embossed the birdcage and sentiment in silver on turquoise paper. We had a color challenge a while back to use turquoise & silver and I think it's an elegant combination:
My bow is a little wonky-gotta straighten that out. The white paper is from Simon Says Stamp and comes with the woodgrain embossing.
I was so inspired by the many bloggers who made cards for the challenges - I'm still going thru the cards in my challenge and thanking everyone for submitting a card. I hope ya'll will consider being a hostess the next time around - it really is a lot of fun!
Next up - boot camp!
Erika - Great job on both of your cards. I really like the ornamental iron looks over your embossing. Really adds a great dimension. The butterflies are a perfect touch - it makes such a lovely card. Thanks for participating in my challenge.
ReplyDeleteThe last card is very elegant with the silver and turquoise. I like the card stock you used with the woodgrain - that also adds a nice touch.
Thanks again,
Sharon S.
You did an amazing job on these two cards. They are beautiful and all the texture in the white papers are lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever idea to stamp & emboss on foil paper. It really gives your card an elegant look. Wonderful job on the first card too. White on white is so hard to pull off and your card is amazing! It is exquisite. Thanks for joining the VCMP 'Glitz and Glam' challenge.
