This has been the longest week ever for me and it's always good to wind down doing some crafting. I'm looking forward to OWH's Virtual Card Making Party (VCMP) this weekend and some shopping!
This week's cards for me:
I made my own chevron mask, then spray misted them with Mr. Huey mists. The sentiment is Technique Tuesday on vellum.
I cut the chevrons and "hi" on my Cricut. Kept this one pretty simple.
The chevrons are actually from my Creative Memories square punch. You punch the smaller square, then slide the paper over into the larger square and you get a framed square edge. Then I cut those in half to make chevrons.
I still use these punches! The sentiment and background stamp is from Simon Says Stamp.
See you all tomorrow for the VCMP!
Wonderful cards and I love that you still use the "old" punches! I go back to the first tools I used all the time as well.
ReplyDeleteWhat a super clever way to make the Chevrons from basic square punches! The yellow, white and black combo makes a nice masculine design too.
ReplyDeleteI still use my CM punches all the time too! The hexagon one makes a great banner flag end.
ReplyDeleteLove both the design and color scheme of the last card!
DeleteLOVE the square punch idea for making chevrons!! I always made them with mitered corners (hold over from my quilting days) but this is SO much easier!! can't wait to try it!
ReplyDeleteI love your variations and the tip on making the chevrons from the CM punches is great. I use my CM punches all the time too.
ReplyDeleteWhere do you live in SC? I'm near Hendersonville, NC, the west side and about 1/2 hr from SC.
