Hi everyone! I checked out the Sweet Stop blog for an inspirational sketch and decided to make a card based on it. I made the base from Distress inks Pumice Stone and Vintage Photo. I embossed & layered the two vertical strips and used an old-fashioned button at the top. I don't know if you can see it, but the button has a time piece on it. My final embellishment was to emboss the sentiment with gold embossing powder.
I'm also entering this into the latest Craft Spot challenge - buttons and bows. I've just started following the Craft Spot and I love the inspiration (and her blog is just too beautiful!)
While I was playing with my distress inks, I decided to make tags with labels for all the distress inks. I inked the tags with their appropriate color. I love glancing at the actual colors when I want to ink something and this will come in handy for me.
Thanks for looking and happy inking!
So Lovely and Sweet Erika! Love the embossed strips and the pretty lace and old fashioned button too! Just a Wonderful Anniversary card! So glad you could join us at The Sweet Stop! 8-)
ReplyDeleteYour anniversary card is so pretty with that added lace, and I love the inked tags idea! NJ!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card. The lace is gorgeous! Thanks for playing at My Craft Spot's Buttons and Bows challenge.
ReplyDeleteNice card. I sooo need to make a chart for my Distress Inks. I keep inking on scrap paper with every project to decide on colors. I have been saying I will do it, but put it off. Maybe I will get to it this week. :)
