Hi Bloggers and welcome to the Memorial Day Bloghop for Operation Write Home. I'm so excited because this is my first bloghop! Yippee! It's for such a great cause, too!
My chosen sketch is #83 and here it is:
At the time it was posted, I was not a card making junkie, so it was fun to look at the cards made for this challenge. I made an AnyHero card. In the beginning, I was shy about making and writing to servicemen/women that I didn't know, but now that I've done some, I'm getting the hang of it.
Here's my finished card:
The sentiment is from Paula at Handmade by Paula and the paper is from the BoBunny Weekend Market 6x6 paper collection:
I hope you get inspired to make cards for our deployed solders thru OWH! It's a great community of caring and creative people!
This is fanastic. Love that Bo Bunny paper, it is gorgeous!

ReplyDeletepapers and sentiment are perfect! Lovely card!
ReplyDeleteErika,
ReplyDeleteLove this card! Bo Bunny is always one of my favorite papers -- I'm currently obsessed with the Liberty collection. :)
I've used this sentiment so many times on Any Hero cards, but never as a circular embellishment. Thanks for the idea. I'll have to give it a try.
I love your take on this sketch and your papers. The sentiment in the round is different.

Great card Erika! I am so thrilled to see people joining us for the first time this year. I agree that writing Any Hero notes can be difficult at first but I know how much they are appreciated and I always feel good when I include some in my OWH shipments.
ReplyDeleteThe sentiment is actually one created by OWH FOunder Sandy and can be found here: http://www.owhstarsandstamps.org/2011/04/anyhero-card-sentiment-back-by-popular.html
Thanks for joining in the Memorial Day hop and for supporting OWH!
