OWH Sketch #123

The OWH Memorial Bloghop is still going on and I've had so many lovely comments on my contribution to the hop.  It's been a lot of fun.  Today, we've got another great OWH sketch.  Although I'm busy making birthday cards for June birthdays, I managed to make a card based on the sketch:

It's a very romantic card.  I used old old Creative Memories paper and an SVG for the flower, which I inked with the Spun Sugar distress ink.  I used small pearls around the sentiment and in the flower center.

I'm going to start making SVG files of card sketches, which should help me put the cards together quicker.  I'm sharing the file with anyone who wishes to download it here:

I also made another card for OWH out of the same paper.  It's not based on a sketch - I just kept layering the scraps of paper until I came up with something suitable!

I'm still checking out the Memorial Day bloghops and they've inspired me so much.
Hope you're having a relaxing fun weekend!

  1. Great cards, both of them! I really like that layered flower in the first card, and the birthday card will make someone's day brighter for sure :)

  2. Great cards and very pretty and romantic! I'm with Carol, that'll really make someone's birthday. Especially since more and more we're getting e-cards, which can be fun, but there's nothing like a "real" card coming in the mail!

  3. Your cards are very pretty thanks for subbing to my blog.

  4. Great job with the sketch challenge! The layering adds so much nice detail and the flower is a such a pretty embellishment. Perfect with the pearls. Thanks for participating in the hop. I'm glad to know everyone else enjoyed it as much as I did.

  6. Beautiful card, Erika! I love that layered flower and how you inked the edges - adds tons of dimension. Thanks for joining us in this week's OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge!

  7. Super nice cards! Love the colors! Thanks for sharing!

  8. Love your layered flower on the card! Really elegant with the pearls.
