If it's Sunday, then it's time for another OWH sketch. After watching a few of the Interactive Card Project videos, I've learned how to change-up the sketch by rotating it. I did that with today's sketch:
I made three cards with the sketch. For the first one, I used the sketch as is, and embossed the paper on the right and put paper strips around it to define it a bit more:
I goofed with my stamp and stamped "IH" at first, so I made another stamp and pasted it over my mistake. Ha ha!
For my second card, I used an EK success border stamp that makes me think of Frank Lloyd Wright designs. I wanted a masculine card and I turned the sketch on its side:
My last card used shiny paper from my stash and it was hard to photograph:
My cat is still in the habit of keeping my company while I scrap. She likes to sit on my laptop, making it impossible for me to use it!
We're having a cold, wet day in South Carolina today, so all I want to do is stay inside. I hope you've had a great weekend!
Erica, three terrific cards. Each so different from the other. It's funny how that can happen when using the same sketch, huh? Love them all.
ReplyDeleteYour kitty cat is beautiful. My babies are always with me when I craft, but not on the computer. Must make posting quite fun and challenging all at the same time. Wet and rainy here in Ma. too. I cleaned the craft room not it looks too good to work in. . . . Not
I really like all 3 of your cards- the masculine one is really great- can always use more of those! I like the embossing on the first card- and although it is hard to photograph shiny paper- I can see the music notes- really great with the sentiment- I am so stealing this idea!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards! I really love the floral one with the embossed paper on the side. And the blue really makes the blue in the sentiment pop.
ReplyDeleteThese are all great! I love the embossing on the first and the punch on the second. Lol at your cat... Ours is going mad as she likes to roam outside, but hates the snow so she's been inside for several days now!
ReplyDeleteAwesome cards! This is a fun sketch. I love the embossing on the first one and that border punch on the second one is great! It is hard to photo shiny cards! Your kitty pic is adorable!
ReplyDeleteFantastic cards Erica. I love seeing how one sketch can produce such different looking cards. Cute fur baby, but doesn't your computer get fur balls? hehehe.
ReplyDeleteI definitely need that punch...perfect for those guy cards! Great cards...the first is just plain fun. tfs!!!
ReplyDeleteEach card is so different and unique, yet using the same sketch. The colors in the first one are beautiful, and the more muted colors in the next cards are just perfect as masculine cards. TFS!
ReplyDeleteMe again...your cat is beautiful, too.
