OWH Memorial Day 2014 + blog candy

Welcome to the 2014 OWH Memorial Day blog hop!  This is a great time to get inspired by many talented card makers and learn about OWH.  I made an Any Hero card, which is given directly to a service member.  I used sketch #215 (see why this is  my favorite sketch  and download my cutting formula) for my card:

Paper is October Afternoon Sasparilla.

I'm giving away stamps and paper to a lucky commenter.  I'll draw names on Sunday, May 25 at 7 pm EST and send you an email. Here's my goodies to send out:

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great weekend!

  51. I love the papers used in this. I am more of a scrapbooker than a cardmaker and this combination of papers and that stamp (which I've seen many a-time on store shelves and thought about getting) would be great for layouts about my ancestors who have served.

  66. I am sorry to miss the giveaway chance. The Holly Hobby set is right up my alley.

I like this card...the paper choices esp the note paper under the sentiment.

I looked at your PDF for this sketch. You make short work of the layers but one would have to have the eye to pick the right paper first lol. I am still working on that-(I am not a big fan of coordinated pads since I usually only like 3 of them)

    Thanks for making and sharing!

  67. Hi Erika: I love your card. It has a lot going on but everything is designed just right so it all works together. When I make cards like this they end up being a hot mess, so I tend to stick with clean and simple. I just printed out your cutting recipe for sketch 215 and can't wait to give it a try! Thanks so much!
