Quick cards

I'm in crunch card-making mode now - trying to finish the holiday OWH cards this week!  The mid-week throwdown at OWH fits me right now - Multiply the Fun .  Pam T. showed us great ideas on how to churn out several cards at once and when I need to make quick cards, I start die-cutting images on my Cricut.

I cut out a simple ornament and mounted strips of holiday paper on it, along with a bit of twine:

Sentiment is by Technique Tuesday, which I heat embossed.  Pretty simple, right?  And...I used up scraps with this!  (That's always a good thing)  Even if you don't have a ornament cut file, I think you could easily make one with circle dies/punches.

I also tried one of Pam's layout ideas for this card:
I can't thank her enough for the detailed instructions and inspiration!

Are you going to participate in this weekend's WCMD bloghop?  I'm going to be there and I've got blog candy to give away (I need to de-stash).  Hope to see ya'll there!

  1. Erika, thanks for playing along with the Midweek Throwdown Challenge! I love your ornament cards - they are gorgeous and simple. I admire your ability to heat emboss, too - that's not a quick and easy thing for me to do! LOL Yours looks great!

  4. Great use of scraps! I've been rushing this week too trying to get my OWH cards done. I'll have to remember to post a picture or two of some of my multiples using both positive and negative die cuts.
