Simple Thank You

I was going thru my green scraps and found this lovely leaf pattern paper.  While I was between cuts making another card, I used my Spellbinders and Memory Box dies to make this simple thank-you card:

I've cut the Memory Box die many times and have yet to color it - I keep using it in white because I think it's so elegant.  I'll add coloring it to my to-do list.

I'm entering this card in Challenge #4 -  Thank You over at Cardz TV.  There's lots of inspiration over there already for this challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.

OWH Sketch #193 + Sending Love

Hiya bloggers!  Yesterday's OWH Bloghop was a blast and I'm still checking out the fabulous inspirations from everyone.  Ya'll are sooo talented!

Today's OWH sketch is #193:
Here's my card, using the last scraps from the Basic Grey Nordic Holiday paper pad:

I made a second card to send to Julie Ebersole's mother, who is battling cancer.  Ellen Hutson asked card makers to send her mother a card of encouragement, which you can read about here .  I used today's sketch for this card:

The sentiment is a digistamp from Desert Diva and the anchor is a freebie from Patricia Zapata at A Little Hut although I can't seem to find the file on her website any longer :-(  Everyone knows someone who is affected by breast cancer and I hope my card puts a smile on Alice's face.  It felt good to use pink after all these holiday cards!

I'm also entering this card in the Cardz TV Breast Cancer Awareness challenge.

Tonight I'll choose the two winners of my blog candy and post it on my blog.  Thanks for stopping by.

More cards from the SSS April Card Kit

Hiya!  I enjoyed today's OWH masculine bloghop - so much inspiration out there!  I'm focusing on making cards using the April card kit from Simon Says Stamp and I've made several cards that I'll enter into some challenges before they get shipped to our heroes!

First up is a card for the Through the Craftroom Door challenge.  I used a freebie TV Digi stamp from Birdie Brown and colored it up with Copics:

I just love that happy TV!

Next is a card I made for the Cardz TV challenge #27.  Mary challenged us to use 3 pattern papers and here's my card:

The bird and birdhouse are from Create-a-Critter cartridge and the sentiment is from My Pink Stamper.  I embossed the front of the card with the Swiss Dots folder.

I've made more cards using the kit papers as well:

Hero Arts Sentiment.  I made the background paper using the circle stamp included in the kit.  I discovered that the Hero Arts Soft Olive, Wet Cement and Pool inks match the card colors.
I used the circle stamp again and embossed with clear embossing powder.

This card uses the cardstock from the kit and the envelope.  I cut the envelope open and punched out the circles.

And, believe it or not, I've still got plenty of supplies left to finish at least 5-6 more cards.  I'm going to stick with the kit and use it all up before I move on to something else.  Have a great weekend!

Father's Day card

I am soo late putting my Father's Day cards in the mail, even though I made the cards this past weekend!  Argh!  I've got no excuse.  Before I pop them in the mailbox, here's what one of them looked like.  I used the car from the Wrap It Up cricut cartridge and the paper is from Graphic 45.

The sentiment is from an Inkadinkado stamp.  My father-in-law used to own a Model T car and although I didn't have a cut for that, this one should remind him of that car.

I'm entering this into the latest Cardz TV challenge for Father's Day: Cardz TV Challenge #110.

Now I've got to get to work!  Have a great day.
