Makeover Monday Challenge #8

Now that Christmas is almost here, I've spent the past few days cleaning up my craft space and storing away my Christmas card making supplies.  I'm ready to switch gears and make other types of cards and this week's Makeover Monday Challenge gave me the incentive I needed!

The challenge is to encourage us to use our stash and in cleaning up my supplies, I found plenty of scraps from making my paper albums.  I used two pieces to put on my card base and then faux-stitched around the edges with my white Uni-ball pen.

I cut the labels using SCAL and my Cricut.  I almost forgot the bling, though, and I used my I-rock tool for the first time to add the blue bling to the label.  I bought the I-rock at the convention last summer and it's a shame it's taken me this long to try it out.  It's a great tool.

Holiday Card Makeover Challenge

Through my blog wanderings, I found the Paper Crafter's Library - PCL.  I'm enjoying their Makeover Monday challenges and I found the time this week to enter a card.  I kept it simple and used my stash of paper, which is a Recollections 4x6 paper pad that I bought at Michael's.

Since the paper had the words "Merry Christmas", I used that as the greeting instead of stamping another one - saves time!   This was so easy and it helped use up some of my paper stash.
